Summary
Kim-Duy Vu, MD, is an epidemiologist and research assistant at the National Institute of Hygiene and
Epidemiology (NIHE), Hanoi, Vietnam. He applies epidemiologic methods and advanced statistical techniques
to manage, analyze, and interpret health data. His research program aims to strengthen the prevention,
control, and clinical management of HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), with a particular
focus on evaluating intervention studies and generating evidence to inform public health practice.

- Delivered data feedback and supported provinces/cities to conduct data validation and quality assurance for HIV/AIDS prevention and control reporting.
- Aggregated and analyzed surveillance data; prepared routine summary reports on HIV/AIDS prevention and control in Vietnam.
- Participated in technical working group meetings to revise and standardize procedures for routine HIV sentinel surveillance.
- Coordinated with provincial focal points to develop implementation plans and standardized templates/tools for sentinel surveillance.
